Our objective

Develop a system of restaurant menu analytics: position margins, average check and other indicators to assess the overall financial performance and improve service quality in accordance with the data obtained.

Restalytics - our internal project, in which we wanted to combine our experience and developments in the field of business processes of restaurants, as well as to test the demand for such services on the market. The system was developed to be launched on the US market.


What we did

  1. We have developed a menu analysis service.

With this tool it is easy to assess the marginality of menu positions based on the data collected. The sales, value and revenue information of the positions is calculated automatically and visually displayed in a table or chart, and data can also be uploaded manually. Based on this analysis, the restaurant can better understand the preferences of its guests, the demand for the offered dishes and adjust the menu to improve sales efficiency.

  1. Extended the functionality of the service.

After the development of menu analytics, we decided to go further and improve the service for a wider evaluation of business processes of the restaurant.

The following functionality has been added:

  • Upload data from POS systems. All information about payments is clearly displayed in the service.
  • Analysis of the average receipt for various product categories. Allows to estimate marginality not only on separate positions, but also on categories. It allows to react in due time to change of requirements of visitors, to correct assortment.
  • The analysis on quantity of visitors of restaurant. Cross-comparison of data on attendance with indicators on the average check, menu and categories provides even more opportunities for improvement of business processes.
  • Recommendation system for increasing profits and reducing expenses by uploading data from POS systems.

With these improvements, the system has grown to a full-fledged platform for comprehensive evaluation of the restaurant's financial performance.

Задача

Разработать систему аналитики ресторанного меню: маржинальности позиций, среднего чека и других показателей для оценки общей финансовой эффективности и повышения качества сервиса в соответствии с полученными данными.

Restalytics - наш внутренний проект, в котором мы хотели объединить наш опыт и наработки в сфере бизнес-процессов ресторанов, а также проверить востребованность таких сервисов на рынке. Система разрабатывалась для запуска на рынке США.


Что мы сделали

  1. Разработали сервис аналитики меню.

С помощью этого инструмента легко оценить маржинальность позиций меню, основываясь на собираемых данных. Информация по продажам позиций, стоимости и выручке рассчитывается автоматически и наглядно отображается в виде таблицы или графика, также возможна загрузка данных вручную. Ориентируясь на такой анализ, ресторан может лучше понять предпочтения своих гостей, востребованность предлагаемых блюд и скорректировать меню для повышения эффективности продаж.

  1. Расширили функционал сервиса.

После разработки аналитики меню мы решили пойти дальше и доработать сервис для более широкой оценки бизнес-процессов ресторана.

Был добавлен следующий функционал:

  • Выгрузка данных из POS-систем. Вся информация о платежах наглядно отображается в сервисе.
  • Анализ среднего чека по различным категориям товаров. Позволяет оценить маржинальность не только по отдельным позициям, но и по категориям. Это позволяет своевременно реагировать на изменение потребностей посетителей, корректировать ассортимент.
  • Аналитика по количеству гостей ресторана. Перекрестное сравнение данных по посещаемости с показателями по среднему чеку, меню и категориям предоставляет еще больше возможностей для улучшений бизнес-процессов.
  • Рекомендательная система для увеличения прибыли и снижения затрат на основе выгрузки данных из POS-систем.

С этими улучшениями система выросла до полноценной платформы для комплексной оценки финансовой эффективности ресторана.

Results

In 3 weeks we have fully developed the service for complex assessment of business processes of restaurants. 

Restalytics allows you to analyze the numerical performance of the restaurant and on the basis of this analysis to make a complete picture of the necessary improvements.

За 3 недели мы полностью разработали сервис для комплексной оценки бизнес-процессов ресторанов. 

Restalytics позволяет проанализировать числовые показатели эффективности ресторана и на основе этого анализа составить полную картину необходимых улучшений.
